What does the new version 3.1.0.10 of Apia include?
Advantage:
Apia, a solution developed by STATUM to manage business processes, files, procedures and documents, supported 100% digitally, received a new update in December 2020, with the incorporation of new functional features and important security improvements.
One of the main advantages is the inclusion of a new process designer. "It is the heart of the product", recalled Gustavo Ferrari, Apia BPMS Product Manager. The previous one is made with Flash technology, which stopped having support at the end of 2020. To anticipate this change, Apia's version 3.1.0.10 no longer depends on Flash.
The process designer has two versions: the connected one -which is used within the tool- and the disconnected one -the one that receives the name of Apia Facilis and was released earlier last year.
The new process designer is compatible with Apia versions 3.1.0.8 and 3.1.0.9. Customers using previous versions will be updated, in the first instance, to 3.1.0.8.
New features:
One of the highlights of version 3.1.0.10 is the incorporation of distributed repositories to extend Apia's storage possibilities. In this way, the user can create their own repositories. "This allows the user to define where the documents are to be stored," Ferrari said. This new function is made up of "repository types" and "document repository".
The version that will be released in December will also include an update of parameters between the different nodes of an Apia installation. That is, every time a particular node is modified, the rest will automatically synchronize with that node. "It is an improvement that facilitates maintenance tasks," said the APIA BPMS Product Manager.
On the other hand, version 3.1.0.10 will give users the possibility of working with organizational roles from the Java programming API and the possibility of initializing processes from the Java API. It also includes security improvements to prevent attacks on the system and a new parameter so that the user can generate a Java class to create the container HTML for the panels.
Another important aspect that is included in this new version is the inclusion of a first 100% responsive template for mobile devices, aligning ourselves with the medium and long-term strategy of having the 100% responsive Apia BPMS platform without having to program, all automatic.
Apia 3.1.0.10 was released in December 2020.
