STATUM in JIAP 2016

STATUM was present in the IT Professional Update Conference (JIAP for its Spanish acronym) that took place between October 25th and 27th in the ANTEL auditorium. Mr. Diego Karbuski and Mr. Enrique Ross attended the conference on behalf of STATUM and URSEC respectively, and gave a presentation called "Online Procedures: Implementation in URSEC" on October 25th.

The AsIAP (Association of Informatics of Uruguay) is an association of professionals in computer science that seeks to contribute to the progress and dissemination of science and technology through dissemination, research, studies and proposals. The focus of his work is Information Technology and Telecommunications.
These days are held annually since 1992 without interruption. In this particular event, 50 first-level conferences were held over a period of three days, which generated a participation circuit of over 3,000 attendees.
The presentation of "On Line Proceedings: Implementation at URSEC" was based on four central axes: Management, Quality, Standards and Trends at the managerial level. To this end, Karbuski and Ros discussed the main decisions and opportunities for improvement that were raised during the project at URSEC, such as what technology to use, how to integrate with existing systems and how to prepare for full automation in the next phases.
Other outstanding topics that were addressed during the JIAP were: Networking Virtualization, Trends for a Paradigm Shift, New Value Added Services at Antel, The Urgency of a Solid Digital Banking Strategy, Value Management in Technology Projects Enhancing Business And competitiveness and the Digital Economy of the future, among others.
The JIAP events have begun an outstanding process of renewal with a view to internationalization and incorporating the presence of important international exhibitors. This particular year also had a relevant role in streaming broadcasting that made it possible for users around the world to participate in the conference in real time.
