Launch of Electronic File in Transparency and Public Ethics Board
Summary:
On December 1st, 2016, the Electronic File was launched in the Transparency and Public Ethics Board (JUTEP for its Spanish acronym) after studying and assessing this solution for a year.
Information:
The Transparency Board is the agency in charge of receiving, filling and serving as custodian of affidavits of assets and income of public officials, and controlling government procurement publications, corruption and money laundering, among other things.
When analyzing the Electronic File, the agency also studied its feasibility, its configuration and the plans to train key officials. It was finally implemented in early December 2016.
On that day, the first file was registered in the presence of authorities and officials. After that, the efforts of all involved in the implementation and the support provided by the Agency for Electronic Government and Information Society (AGESIC) were acknowledged. Mr. Carlos Soares de Lima, representative of the Transparency Board, was in charge of closing this event.
Thanks to the Electronic File management system, JUTEP can now manage documents and workflows, supporting them electronically while eliminating the use of paper. This solution is used in all offices in order to improve the quality of its service and the transparency of its functions, and to make it easier to access information.
