INAU joins interoperability of Electronic File
Summary:
On the occasion of joining the interoperability of electronic files, the Uruguayan Institute for Children and Adolescents (INAU for its Spanish acronym) updated its version of the electronic file system ApiaDocumentum for the electronic management of its files, which is already accessible to users.
Information:
In 2009, STATUM shared the success case of the implementation of the electronic file system in INAU, a project that reorganized the institutional situation, modeled new work processes and implemented a Document Management System.
To achieve this, it was necessary to devise an “all-in-one” solution capable of supporting the reengineering of key processes, a proper management of files and resolutions, the demand and response of activities, and the proper training of the technical/operational personnel qualified to use it.
Thanks to ApiaDocumentum, INAU obtained three major benefits: a global solution that automated work routines with the possibility of assiduously monitoring the activity, an improvement in organization due to the ordering of documents, which led to a decrease in the time spent on them, and the optimization of communication due to the simplification of the tasks of information gathering and supplying.
In 2015, INAU joined the interoperable version that enables the electronic exchange of files with different agencies, which allows them to obtain essential functionalities to classify the information in the files, thus complying with Law No. 18381 of Access to Public Information.
Following this initiative, 1,000 digital signature certificates were renewed and were issued by the Uruguayan Mail, thus achieving the strengthening of work security with the electronic file system.
Thanks to the ongoing work of the organizations involved along with STATUM, it is possible to continue developing updates that, from now on, will facilitate interoperability between the Central Government agencies that use ApiaDocumentum for managing their files.
