Information:
The event took place in the National Bureau of Mining and Geology of MIEM, an institution that has made significant progress in the initial project of the program.
The Assistant Secretary of the Ministry, Guillermo Moncecchi, was in charge of opening the event. He stated that MIEM wants “users to be able to reach them quickly and efficiently”.
He added that it also poses a great challenge for officials, as it represents an improvement in management and transparency of the ministerial role, where technology is a tool that should be used to serve citizens.
Marcelo Guinovart, Director of the Agencies and Processes Department of Agesic, stated that this presentation formalizes a work process that has been in motion for some time. He said: “As public servants, this program provides several benefits to our role: it is strongly inclusive and promotes greater equity, which results in quantitative and, above all, qualitative improvement.”
The MIEM adviser, Nicolás Antoniello, placed this project within the framework of other improvement processes that have already been implemented regarding IT, infrastructure, communication and connectivity.
Among the stages and objectives of the program, he highlighted the aims below:
Finally, Mauricio Pennesi, who has been organizing the program together with MIEM and the selected implementing company (Quanam), stated that there are four fundamental pillars that will guarantee the success of this program: political support, commitment from the ministry, technological resources and citizen demands.
