Technological University of Havana praises alliance with STATUM
Summary:
This university has an academic Apia BPMS license since 2015.
Information:
The Havana University of Technologies José Antonio Echeverría, known as Cujae, located in the city of Havana, Cuba, has an academic Apia-BPMS license to develop their own solutions and to use as an alternative for the introduction of a BPM (business process management) initiative in Cuban business contexts.
"These are extremely functionally complete tools. This is an strategic alliance for our institution because it allows us to investigate the technology transfer processes that take place in the context of a BPM consultancy," Carlos Ramón López, professor at the Faculty of Computer Engineering of the Havana University of Technologies José Antonio Echeverría, stated.
The alliance between the Havana University of Technologies José Antonio Echeverría and STATUM began at the end of 2015 and, according to Mr. López, it remains strong. "We plan to continue sharing experiences at events in Cuba this year," he explained.
BPM consultancies are carried out with the aim of assessing BPM technology adoption processes in Cuban organizational sectors with the development of Apia solutions.
On a daily basis, there is a "systematic feedback" between the institution and the STATUM help desk to solve technical problems that arise with Apia-BPMS.
When asked about future plans, Mr. López replied “We plan to continue consolidating the use of Apia as a framework for developing IT solutions under the BPM paradigm in business contexts.”
Apia is a powerful, complete, flexible and easy-to-run process technological platform that can be applied to different industries to implement and manage business processes of organizations in a highly productive way.
