Uruguay shared its digital transformation with authorities of the Municipality of Córdoba
SUMMARY:
The executive director of the Agency for Electronic Government and the Information and Knowledge Society (Agesic), Hebert Paguas, visited the city of Córdoba (Argentina) during the month of August, where he informed the municipal government of the milestones and the main strategic lines of Uruguay's digital policy.
INFORMATION:
Some of the topics highlighted were cybersecurity, digital citizenship and online services, Agesic explained in a press release.
Paguas reviewed that Uruguay already has more than 1,660 online procedures, which can be carried out online from anywhere in the country, which has speeded up time and has helped eliminate the paper support of the State. STATUM has been substantial in this area, which, with tools such as ApiaTrámites, has consolidated the strategy.
In addition, generalities were told about the management of electronic files that, in many parts of the State, are managed with ApiaDocumentum. With this tool "it is possible to enhance the processes and manage access to information, in addition to digitizing the original files, creating a documentary stock, avoiding redundant copies, minimizing the amount of paper to be filed and, fundamentally, establishing a more effective relationship between the various state agencies," says Agesic on its website.
"Based on the meeting, the possibility of our country, through Agesic, continuing to collaborate and guide the City Hall in its digital transformation process will be explored," he said in a press release.
