Interoperability Platform e-Learning Course
Summary:
This e-learning course - taught by AGESIC - was aimed at IT officials, architects, developers and project managers and contributed to the "Online Procedures" initiative to promote learning and adoption of best practices in information exchange between State agencies through Web Services.
Information:
Pre-enrollment for the course - whose full name was “Plataforma de Interoperabilidad - Consumo de Servicios” (“Interoperability Platform - Use of Services”) - was open until March 30th at the AGESIC site. The methodology used for the course was the moodle platform of the ENAP; it lasted two weeks and required 4-6 hours of dedication.
Course Objective
The course - which started on April 4th - was held with the aim of introducing participants to the key concepts of the interoperability platform, its use and its components in order to apply them in their agencies and use the services available in the Platform.
Its contents were divided as follows:
Pre-enrollment was conducted by the training representatives of each agency and also by the AGESIC facilitators in Central Government agencies. The profiles of the candidates were analyzed and subsequently confirmed after a selection process.
After the participants completed the course and passed an evaluation, they received their certification.

- Module 1 - Theory
Definition of Interoperability Platform, its components and its communication and security mechanisms. - Module 2 – Practice
Development of publisher/subscriber and development of a client to use a service in a Java, .Net and Connector Platform.
