Five more institutions will use Apia Procedures
Summary:
Under the Online Procedures program, five new Uruguayan institutions will use the Apia Procedures platform to manage procedures in an easy, simple and transparent way.
Information:
Online Procedures is a Uruguayan program the aim of which is for all Central Administration procedures to be completed online by 2020.
This is a direct solution to bring citizens closer to the State by providing more access to public services 24/7, 365 days a year, from any corner of the country. This reduces the territorial distribution gaps and the concentration of resources and services in the capital.
The institutions that will start using Apia Procedures are URSEC (Regulatory Unit of Communications Services), URSEA (Energy and Water Services Regulatory Agency), ANI (National Internal Audit Office), MIEM (Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mining) and the National Cadaster Office. The completion date was scheduled for December 2016. This way, the goal set by AGESIC for 2016 has been met.
This platform natively includes the following items: State Single Sign On (COESYS), use of electronic ID, online submission of Notarial Certificates signed by Civil Law Notaries, use of Web Calendar, online payments, and traceability and follow up of procedures, among others.
This way, STATUM has helped to achieve the goal set by the Executive Branch. Such goal was for citizens to be able to start 100% of procedures online, which saves costs and time for both institutions and citizens, promoting social equity at the same time.
Moreover, thanks to AGESIC, there are now more alternatives for people to interact with the State, which allows active transformation of public management, high-quality services and improvement of participation and collaboration mechanisms in the civil society.
