Quanam highlights alliance with STATUM
Summary:
The companies have collaborated in large projects with Apia solutions.
Information:
The commercial relationship between Quanam and STATUM began in 2009. At that time, Quanam contacted the ApiaDocumentum solution; Later, he became interested in APIA Procedures and APIA - BPMS, all products developed by STATUM, and both firms became partners.
Since then, they have jointly developed three major projects: the Electronic Office of the National Directorate of Cadastre, the implementation of online procedures for the Regulatory Unit for Energy and Water Services (Ursea) and the implementation of the electronic file system for the Uruguayan Institute of Meteorology (Inumet).
"We have a very good relationship and we are always in contact. STATUM collaborates with us to find the best solution (in each project). We have a collaborative work, "said Ramiro Quintana, project manager at Quanam and reference of electronic file, online procedures and BPM (business process management by its acronym in English).
Collaboration for Cadastre
In November 2016, Quanam and STATUM put into production the Electronic Headquarters in Cadastre with Apia, the first of its kind in Latin America, and managed to computerize and modernize the registry of an institution that aims to design, perform, conserve and manage the cadastre of the real estate of the national territory.
Since then, the Cadastral Electronic Headquarters offers the possibility of carrying out some 100% online transactions such as the appraisal application for state agencies, the application for registration, the request for provisional securities and the request for a revision of real value. In addition, the Electronic Headquarters incorporated existing services such as the issuance of a common cadastral certificate and the application for registered cadastral certificates.
"We had STATUM as support and supported us in the installation of the APIA - BPMS product. STATUM already has a working methodology and it is important to have a good sizing so that after the system does not fall or run slow, "Quintana said.
The system is now stabilized, according to Quintana. "In fact, there are already identified improvements and they want to add procedures and other processes," he said.
More projects in common
APIA Procedures and APIA - BPMS are also part of the comprehensive management system of the URSEA. Regarding the first product, it is the one that provides the mechanisms and functionalities required for the publication of procedures and for the interaction between the citizen and the organism. In this sense, Quanam and STATUM worked to implement the procedures for the liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) sector and steam generators. Now we are working to add energy efficiency procedures. "STATUM collaborated with us to find the best architecture," said Quintana.
Regarding the implementation of ApiaDocumentum for Inumet and its electronic file system, STATUM participated in the training of the officials and provided support in the start-up.
"Quanam and STATUM are always in contact," Quintana concluded.
