Toll Bonus: Online Processing at Ministry of Transport and Public Works
STATUM and the Ministry of Transportation and Public Works (MTOP) continue with the implementation of the Online Procedures project with the publication of fundamental procedures for the organization and citizens.
This is the procedure that is carried out to request the benefit of a bonus or exemption from paying the toll fee (for the first time, renewal, change of license plate, change of vehicle, vehicle addition, vehicle cancellation or document addition).
The documentation required depends on the reason for which the bonus is requested and, in addition, if it is processed for the first time, due to renewal or modification of the existing bonus.
First time or renewal for natural person, in case of vehicle ownership:
- You can request the benefit for 5 vehicles for each application online and without limit in the face-to-face application.
- For each vehicle you must present some of the following options:
a) Municipal vehicle circulation book in the name of the applicant or, b) Municipal vehicle circulation book in the name of spouse or common-law partner, identity document of the partner or spouse and document proving the relationship (book or marriage certificate , certificate of common-law marriage, notarial certificate, etc.) or, c) Municipal vehicle circulation book and document proving ownership of the vehicle (title deed, purchase / sale commitment with notarized signature, notarial certificate certifying vehicle ownership, or notarial certificate stating that it is a "promising buyer").
Vehicle use case:
- You can request the benefit for a single vehicle. For which, you must submit:
• Municipal vehicle circulation book. Document that proves the use of the same (notarial certificate, power of attorney issued by the owner with notarized signature, or rental company lease).
WHAT IS THE IMPORTANCE OF HAVING THIS PROCEDURE ONLINE?
Its importance lies in the fact that the procedure must be carried out for the causes provided for in the regulations, which are: permanent residence, dependent or independent work within the bonus areas, professional or own cargo transport companies, collective transport companies of passengers of tourist services, companies of collective transport of passengers of regular services, or companies of passenger transport concessionaire of lines with terminals located in bonus zones.
IT IS USED?
Indeed and, to carry out the online procedure, you must have a gub.uy User or another means of electronic identification, or an identity provider such as: digital Identity card (it is necessary to have a card reader), Mobile identity - Abitat o TuID - Antel.
The application can only be made online, since the follow-up of the procedure is carried out with the toll operator, through its communication channels.
WHAT VOLUME OF PROCEDURES OF THIS TYPE ARE CARRIED OUT ANNUALLY?
Since it is a recent process, there is still no information on this point. However, we will be attentive to inform as soon as there is news in this regard.
