The Uruguayan State improves the process of reporting incidents and requests for electronic files
SUMMARY:
In August, the Electronic Government and Information and Knowledge Society Agency (AGESIC) launched a new method for managing incident reports and requests for digital files. The objective is to speed up response times and improve the interaction between public agencies and the technology service provider.
INFORMATION:
In this process, STATUM plays a key role by providing several Uruguayan State agencies with its electronic file solution, ApiaDocumentum, a central tool for digital document management in the public sector.
In this case, AGESIC adopts an audit and supervision role by analyzing the processes and proposing functional improvements that optimize administrative management. This strategic intervention allows agencies to resolve incidents more quickly, while the Agency focuses on monitoring the system and ensuring its proper functioning.
The improvements introduced seek to optimize not only response times, but also the efficiency in the implementation of technical solutions, which ensures that digital administrative management is adjusted to the priorities and urgencies of the agencies. This new approach also strengthens the internal capabilities of the help desks as it allows for greater autonomy and consistency of criteria in the resolution of incidents.
The project is part of the Uruguay Digital Agenda 2025, specifically within objective VII, goal 32, which promotes the adoption of standardized digital solutions to improve document management and decision-making in public organizations.
STATUM, through its electronic file system, provides a platform that facilitates the digitalization and management of files, which guarantees the integrity and monitoring of information. This system allows for a more efficient and secure exchange between State agencies, as it improves transparency and speeds up key administrative processes.
