Electronic File in the Mortgage Bank of Uruguay
Summary:
The Mortgage Bank of Uruguay (BHU for its Spanish acronym) and the Agency for e-Government development (AGESIC for its Spanish Acronym) signed an Agreement for Institutional Cooperation regarding usage rights of a new platform for managing the electronic files of the bank.
Information:
The aim of this project is to implement an Electronic File system in the BHU using ApiaDocumentum. Until now, this public financial institution did not have a system that would allow the 100% electronic processing of files.
The following activities were carried out in order to meet the requirements of the project:
Key users of the BHU involved in the gathering of information were trained. Then, the environment with the necessary information of the institution was parameterized. After that, the solution was implemented in a test environment in order to validate the behavior of the application. End users received training. Finally, the parameterized solution was put into production.
AGESIC provided support in the transmission of knowledge and was involved in the learning programs as well. It was also present in the configuration of the tool, and in the setting of a Level 2 help desk to cover technical support. Furthermore, the agency provided the BHU with the latest versions of the application when they were requested.
Thanks to ApiaDocumentum, the institution will be able to streamline its functions and processes, to offer new transparency tools to citizens (regarding access to public information), as well as to provide conveniences for procedures, queries and services, that will continue to benefit society and strengthen the democratic role of institutions.
