Electronic Office in National Cadastre Office
Summary:
On Wednesday, November 9th, the electronic office was launched by the National Cadastre Office in Hotel Dazzler Montevideo.
Information:
It is the first cadastre electronic office in Latin America, created as part of the Program for Improving the Accuracy of Cadastral Digital Maps. It was launched with the cooperation of the Republic of Korea.
The event was attended by the Minister of Economy and Finance, Danilo Astori; the COO of the IDB in Uruguay, Miguel Taborga; the director of AGESIC, José Clastornik; the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, Hanjun Yoo; the National Director of Cadastre of Uruguay, Sylvia Amado; the CEO of the Land and Geospatial Information Corporation (LX), Soontae Kim; and the manager of Global LBusiness Departament of LX, Jonghyun Yoon.
The institution aims to design, carry out, maintain and manage real estate cadastre, considering the geometric, physical, economic and legal features with a multiple-purpose approach, and use it as a tool for the economic and social planning of the national territory.
To achieve this, it was important for the office to become a modern, highly-computerized and virtual registry that could be used as an accessible planning tool, and to be part of the Spatial Data Infrastructure System.
Another important novelty offered by the electronic office is that, in addition to the existing services – Regular Cadastral ID Issuance and Informative Cadastral ID Application – other procedures that can also be completed online have been added:
