Electronic File in Office of the President

The Electronic File tool developed by STATUM - ApiaDocumentum - has been implemented in the Office of the President.
According to Ms. Gabriela Pérez, Electronic File Coordinator in Agesic, "the implementation was a success" from a technical point of view, since no "serious incident" has been reported since it was carried out. However, Ms. Pérez stressed that "it will take a couple of months" to get the system to operate properly and for the staff to get used to using it. "There are still areas that do not use Electronic File and print documents. There is a lot to cover and we are working on that," she added.
The Office of the President has now joined 24 other state agency that operate in the Electronic Government Platform to stop paper support, improve the quality of the service provided to citizens and achieve information transparency and democratization.
With this tool, agencies using Electronic Files are able to sign proceedings with ID Cards using a reader provided by Agesic.
