ANEP continues to bet on ApiaDocumentum

The National Administration of Public Education (ANEP) plans to extend this year the use of ApiaDocumentum to the Council of Technical-Professional Education and the Council of Initial and Primary Education (CEIP). The Central Board of Directors (Codicen) began to work with the product developed by STATUM in the first semester of 2013; the Education Training Council joined later.
"The value of the electronic file system increases as coverage increases, and our first objective is to reach the entire ANEP," said Pedro Salvetto, coordinator of the Electronic File Project for this organization.
Since that date, the system registered approximately 400 users, although those who use it on a daily basis are about 250 employees. In total, ApiaDocumentum was the support to create and manage about 60 thousand files in electronic form until now. This figure represents 20% of the electronic files generated by the agency within a period of five years, despite the fact that other computer systems have been used over 20 years. In particular, the arrival of ApiaDocumentum meant the migration of 238 thousand files.
"The evaluation is very positive, in fact, the Help Desk receives very few calls, which is a measure that the system is stabilized," said Salvetto. The coordinator also stressed that the contact with STATUM is "very satisfactory" and that a "synergistic collaboration" between the parties has been established.
In the future, once ApiaDocumentum is implemented in the entire ANEP orbit, work will be done to extend the functions of the system. Salvetto indicated that one objective is to advance in the automation of processes.
With ApiaDocumentum "there is a question of security, transparency and reliability and also, why not, of speed in the procedures and follow-up that with a paper file is very difficult to obtain", remarked the coordinator.
ApiaDocumentum is a solution designed to manage files, documents and workflows electronically supported. Its objective is to eliminate paper support, improve the quality of service and achieve transparency and democratization of information.
