Program gub.uy: gub.uy is part of “Government of proximity”, one of the lines of action embodied in the 2020 Digital Government Plan, which seeks to improve the interaction between citizens and the State through high quality services .

Among its main advantages is cost savings: The strategy of centralization and integration of institutional design and technological infrastructure, as well as the implementation of reusable components, allows optimizing and rationalizing the resources of the Uruguayan State in a citizen "face to face" - administration.

User gub.uy: User gub.uy is a computer system to identify you in the digital world implemented by Agesic. It allows centralizing user accounts and facilitating web access to the digital services of the State. This means that, once registered, you will be able to enter the services that allow you to identify yourself without the need to complete new forms or additional passwords.

Digital Signature: Like the handwritten signature, it serves to authorize documents or express a will. For example, the Digital Identity Card is the new model of the Uruguayan Identity Card. Within it there is a chip that contains the identification information of the owner and the Digital Signature.

One of its outstanding characteristics is that it eliminates the role in any act between public or private parties, constituting a fundamental element for the development of the digital society, guaranteeing integrity, authenticity and non-repudiation of the documents exchanged.

Citizen participation is a right that as such should be supported and encouraged by the State. Currently, active participation is one of the central components of governance and the validity of democratic systems. The exercise of the right helps to strengthen the legitimacy of the system by incorporating people, citizens, interested parties, workers, or users of services, among others, in the various processes of deliberation, management, evaluation and control of the policies that are carried out, thus adding a sustainability component to the public policies of our country.
