Apia customers and partners now see simplified the installation and update of components of the STATUM Application Installer (SAI) that allows automatic download of files.

The UPS is a tool to perform installations and updates through a web interface; it also allows different actions to be carried out by means of packages that contain the logic and files necessary for different procedures.

Version 2, released in early 2020, is more streamlined, simpler, and more secure. This is because, from now on, the entire tool should not be updated in the face of changes, but only the corresponding component should be modified.

The size of the UPS was compressed from 37 megabytes to 20 megabytes; at the same time that the instructions - which were 133 - were reduced to zero since they were transformed into 25 components. These are grouped according to their functionality.

The new version allows component installation and upgrade to be performed without stopping the UPS. In addition, it includes a dark mode, the possibility of installing new languages ​​as news (released for Spanish, English and Portuguese) and a more modern display.

STATUM plans to improve the security of the UPS in the coming months by giving the user the possibility of choosing advanced protection measures; for example, captchas or double factor authentication. There will be new components for ApiaDocumentum and ApiaTramites.
