Successful implementation of APIA - BPMS in the BROU process area
STATUM has successfully implemented the first phase of the APIA - BPMS project as a technological platform for the automation of business processes in all branches of Banco República (BROU), after the company was the winner of a tender.
At the beginning of 2020, we reported on the goal of implementing two processes related to demand management and the inclusion of all the financial entity's business processes, complementing the bank's needs and the level of IT requirements that are not contemplated by its platform. software already established.
Finally, at the end of September 2020, the tool to manage demand in the process area was put into production. For this, the training was carried out - which was completely virtual due to the limitations posed by the coronavirus pandemic - of 20 officials dedicated to process management.
In the coming months, the implementation will be completed for the demands of the IT and building management areas. The project also includes integration with other computer systems, change management and communication.
The main objective is to unify the information of the demands of the corresponding areas to generate the information and later manage it for analysis by the management. In addition, it is intended to unify the user experience in a single transversal system.
The BROU put out to tender the purchase of the BPM tool, after entrusting the Faculty of Engineering to carry out a technical evaluation of the options available in the Uruguayan market, since it was intended that the winner could also provide local support and demonstrate having professionals in the field. trained matter. The faculty suggested a short list of a dozen BPM from which Apia was selected.
