In mid-March 2022, STATUM released a new version of Apia, which represents an improvement in document management and has a new interface that will provide a better experience to users.

The main advantage in terms of the visual interface is the incorporation of React technology, a resource that helps make the use of the tools easier.

"This allows the screens to be more accessible and faster", commented Gustavo Ferrari, one of the STATUM project leaders.

The changes are completely visual, Ferrari clarified, so in this version there are no changes in behavior.

The changes will comply with the best usability and accessibility practices suggested by the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI), an international organization whose goal is to make the web accessible to people with disabilities.

Another of its main advantages is better file handling when managing documents.

"The user will be able to work with Apia's documents not only from the tool directly, but will also be able to access them from a Windows (or Linux) folder explorer", commented Ferrari.

In addition, the STATUM benchmark assured that events can be associated with documents, to execute business logic when a new document is created or when it is modified or deleted.

This version, 3.2.0.2, is the base Apia platform from which ApiaDocumentum and ApiaTrámites are fed, two of the main products offered by STATUM. ApiaTrámites is the platform that provides the mechanisms and functionalities required to publish procedures and for the interaction between the citizen and an organization.

ApiaDocumentum is the file management tool in electronic format, increasingly widespread in the Uruguayan State, which allows to eliminate the use of paper in the internal functioning of the organizations and save time.
