Online Procedure for Entrepreneur Women Released at MIEM with Help from STATUM
The Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mining (MIEM) released "Call to Entrepreneur Women 8M" online procedure, which was developed with STATUM's technology.
The call, which takes place every year, is aimed at entrepreneur women for they to present projects that promote innovation and have a positive impact in competitivity and improvement of the organizations.
The purpose of this call is to help strengthen the financial independence of women, a pillar of MIEM's gender equality policy.
The purpose of MIEM is to deliver non-refundable funds to companies and cooperatives whose projects are aimed at generating innovative products, services, processes, trading and strengthening strategies.
Improvements regarding technology, management, training and quality certification with gender equality will be considered. Also, the creation of genuine jobs and, specially, quality jobs for young women will be viewed positively.
A jury will evaluate each project and set the sum to be delivered, regardless of the requested amount.
The applicants must be women or transgender women of legal age, members of cooperatives or companies and in charge of the operations management of the business. Members of cooperatives at least 60% owned by female partners can also apply to this call if a female member is in charge of the operations management.
The second requirement is to prove that the company or cooperative is a productive business and that offers services related to production, according to the public policies of the ministry. Also, it must be proven that the business is technically and financially viable, that it has been constituted at least one year before it began to formally operate and that the project can be implemented in 10 months.
