SUMMARY:

Representatives of the Honduran government visited the offices of the Electronic Government and Information Society Agency (Agesic) to learn about the national experience in digital government.

INFORMATION:

At the meeting, the members of Agesic shared the strategies in digitalization of public services, an issue in which STATUM has been key.

With the implementation of ApiaDocumentum in various public agencies, the platform has become essential to enhance processes and manage access to information when managing files in electronic format.

ApiaTrámites is another STATUM platform that also manages online procedures.

The Honduran delegation, accompanied by representatives of the Inter-American Development Bank, shared experiences in projects on digital identity, cybersecurity, interoperability, cloud and open data.

There was also an exchange of experiences from specific projects such as the development of the Covid-19 app and the vaccination plan.

The Honduran government delegation was made up of: Marcio G. Sierra Discua, chief of mission and president of the National Banking and Insurance Commission; Celeste Espinoza, director of the Presidential Private Office; José Morales, commissioner of the National Telecommunications Commission; Carlos Turcios, head of Infotechnology at the Presidential House; Jimmy Bermúdez, adviser at the Ministry of the Presidency; Carlos Rodríguez, coordinator of the Digital Transformation Project for Greater Competitiveness financed by the IDB.

On behalf of the IDB, the following participated in the meeting: Alejandro Pareja, Senior Specialist, Public Management - Digital Transformation, and Marcela Morales, Project Supervision Consultant.
