SUMMARY:

The National Directorate of Energy, which operates under the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mining of Uruguay, released Subite, a program to introduce electric vehicles and which counts on ApiaTrámites technology solution.
 

INFORMATION:

The purpose of this program is to promote the use of electric vehicles in Uruguay by supporting the acquisition of 1,000 electric motorbikes and 100 electric tricycles.

The following benefits will be given to natural and legal persons that acquire electric vehicles and are based in the country:

Benefits:

10% reimbursement of the vehicle purchase value (up to $ 250 American dollars for motorbikes and $ 450 for tricycles).

Discount in the electricity bill ($ 2,022 Uruguayan Pesos by concept of energy supply for the vehicle, unique amount).

Cash awards for energy performance certificate. Reimbursement by concept of energy savings achieved after the 12 months following the acquisition of the vehicle (the amount is set depending on the use given to the vehicle).

Mandatory insurance of the Insurance Bank of Uruguay for a year.

Requirements: driver’s license of the proprietor of the vehicle or the individual authorized by the company; electricity bill; identification card (if natural person) or notary certificate (if legal person); photo of purchase invoice or digital invoice.
