INAU's Workload Improved by New Version of ApiaDocumentum
SUMMARY:
The Institute for Children and Adolescents of Uruguay (INAU as for its acronym in Spanish) upgraded ApiaDocumentum, the electronic file tool developed by STATUM. This upgrade allows optimizing document management processes and reducing send and reply time.
INFORMATION:
The version being used, 1.9, was upgraded to 2.2.0.7.
The new version improves organization, storing and searching of documents by simplifying processes and reducing reply time. Also, it makes access to information easier and allows collaboration among the users that work with the file.
Pablo Ferrari -representative of STATUM for the implementation of the project at INAU- highlighted that the upgrade represents significant improvements in the system performance as well as in the resolution of problems that cause delays.
Migration to the new version involved training 2,200 officers of INAU that will use the tool to perform their daily tasks.
Implementation was successful thanks to the close collaboration among STATUM, AGESIC and INAU. During the process, upgrade and performance were thoroughly tested in order to guarantee that the system operates quickly and without bugs.
Also, the most necessary functionalities were prioritized to guarantee a proper functioning and adaptation to the new version.
