Procedure to Grant Subsidy for Purchase of Boiler or Air-Conditioning Equipment Released by MIEM
SUMMARY:
The Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mining (MIEM as for its acronym in Spanish) released "Renovate", an online procedure developed with STATUM's technology that offers reimbursement to citizens in order to help them change electrical appliances.
INFORMATION:
Through this online procedure (promoted by the National Directorate of Energy) a reimbursement of up to 3,000 Uruguayan pesos is granted to citizens who have purchased an A-class energy-efficiency boiler and/or an air-conditioning equipment of the same class (hot/cold mode and with Inverter technology.)
In less than one month after released, 5,000 requests have been received for this procedure. Two requests per citizen, one for each electrical appliance, are allowed.
According to the web site of the Ministry, the request must include a purchase invoice, in which date, supplier, invoice No., trademark and model are clearly readable (only invoices issued to final user will be accepted.)
The tool used in this procedure is ApiaTrámites, which plays a crucial role as it facilitates the delivery of the requested documents, as well as it reduces bureaucracy and improves user experience. Thanks to this platform, the users of "Renovate" program can efficiently perform procedures from home. This encourages the acquisition of efficient and environment-friendly electrical appliances.
The procedure is one of the most used by MIEM to interact with citizens. This, year, such ministry upgraded Pyme Certificate procedure to include accessibility and usability improvements. Also, in June 2022 the following procedures were released: Application to Industrial Fund, Technological Linkages Fund Procedure, Support to Small- and Medium-sized Enterprises and Support to Efficient Horticultural Parlors.
