SUMMARY:

In May 2023, the National Directorate of Handcrafts, Small- and Medium-sized companies (Dinapyme), which depends on the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mining (MIEM), launched a new call aimed at cooperative investment projects. The procedure to apply is performed through ApiaTrámites, a digital platform developed by STATUM that streamlines administrative processes.
 

INFORMATION:

This call is aimed at agriculture and labor cooperatives as well as rural development societies. These organizations can receive non-reimbursable funds to finance their projects.

Applicants can choose between two forms of application: simple and associated.

Simple form is aimed at investment projects led by one single organization, either agricultural cooperatives, labor cooperatives, or rural development societies. In this case, non-reimbursable funds are capped at 600,000 Uruguayan Pesos per project, and a counterpart fund equivalent to 20% of the total cost of the project will be required.

The associated form allows implementing investment projects led by an agricultural cooperative, labor cooperative or rural development society in collaboration with other organizations, either social and solidarity-based economy entities, non-cooperative companies, universities or research institutions. Applicants to this form will receive non-reimbursable funds capped at $ 1,000,000 Uruguayan Pesos per project and a counterpart fund equivalent to 30% of the total cost of the project will be required.

In total, MIEM will invest $ 4,000,000 Uruguayan Pesos in financing the selected projects of both forms. Interested parties must submit their projects before Sunday 2nd July at 11:59 pm.

To simplify and streamline the application process, ApiaTrámites (tool developed by STATUM) was implemented. Applicants must log in gub.uy and start the procedure in the Online Procedures section of the platform.

Online application processes allow reducing times for applicants who, otherwise, should perform the procedure in person. ApiaTrámites offers an efficient and agile experience, as well as it removes physical barriers and speeds up the communication between applicants and Dinapyme.
