SUMMARY:

The General Directorate of Business Oversight (DIGEFE) celebrated its tenth anniversary in Uruguay with an institutional event that reviewed its history and presented awards to organizations, authorities, and collaborators.
 

INFORMATION:

During the ceremony, DIGEFE recognized STATUM for its ongoing support of the institution over the years. It highlighted the company's "commitment, dedication, and professionalism" and its fundamental contribution to the development of the agency's activities.

The award was signed by Chief Commissioner Rubén Riani Rodríguez, Director General of Business Oversight. The event also included recognitions for other organizations, such as Agesic, and other government agencies, as well as former directors and staff, in an event that sought to highlight the various contributions made throughout the directorate's history.

Digitization and Development of Management Systems

The evolution of DIGEFE was also reflected in the progressive development of management systems and modules carried out in conjunction with STATUM. In 2019, company procedures and the management associated with those procedures were published, a first step in the systematization of administrative processes.

In 2020, the publication of security guard and security element procedures broadened the scope of the platform by incorporating aspects related to personnel and resources used by companies in the sector. In 2021, progress was made in the development of company, center, and industrial park registries, and declarations of services, security systems, as well as those related to armored vehicles and ATMs, were published.

The process continued in 2022 with the creation of the Debt Management module, while in 2023 the Audits module and the stamp duty current account were incorporated, strengthening the control and monitoring tools. Finally, in 2024, the inspections module was created and the trainers and exam declarations modules were published, thus completing a sequence of advances that accompanied the institutional consolidation of DIGEFE throughout its first decade.
