Paraguayan Civil Registry implements new electronic records system
SUMMARY:
This is a strategic alliance between STATUM and Excelsis, a Paraguayan software company, which has implemented the Electronic Records Management System (SGEE for its Spanish acronym) at the Bureau of Vital Records of Paraguay.
INFORMATION:
This technological advance was developed with the support of the Ministry of Information and Communication Technologies (MITIC for its Spanish acronym), marking a new milestone in the modernization of public administration in Paraguay.
Benefits of the new system
The implementation of the SGEE brings with it numerous benefits that have a positive impact on the efficiency and transparency of public administration.
This system makes it possible to comply with Law No. 6562/2020, which promotes the reduction of paper use and the adoption of digital format.
By eliminating the need for e-mail and shared folders for document management, the SGEE simplifies administrative processes, saves resources and significantly reduces the physical space required to store files.
It also improves information security and confidentiality by ensuring more secure and efficient file management.
The implementation of the SGEE was carried out according to the established schedule at Bureau of Vital Records facilities with the presence of all those involved. This stage was accompanied by a training process led by the MITIC to ensure that employees are fully prepared to operate the new system.
The project, included in the Interinstitutional Cooperation Framework Agreement between MITIC and the Ministry of Justice (MJ), involves several areas and teams of the Bureau of Vital Records in the process of defining procedures for the management and preservation of documents in digital format.
The reception of the SGEE by citizens has been positive. A citizen who participated in the first entry of an electronic file shared his experience: “It was a very satisfactory experience due to the agility generated by the entry of files into the new system.
