STATUM and the Ministry of Inner Affairs digitize security training procedure
SUMMARY:
The Office for Inspection of Private Security Companies (DIGEFE), part of the Ministry of Inner Affairs, is setting up training centers for security through a digital procedure.
INFORMATION:
This system allows citizens, institutions, and organizations to verify which centers are officially authorized to offer security training services.
The procedure is carried out entirely through ApiaTrámites, a technological platform developed by STATUM, used for the digitization of procedures in the Uruguayan government.
DIGEFE adopted this mechanism as part of its strategy for administrative modernization and institutional control in the private security sector.
Centers interested in obtaining or renewing their authorization must initiate the procedure online. Through this channel, forms are completed, documentation is submitted, and the status of the file is tracked remotely.
Open consultation of authorized centers
The updated list is available on the Ministry of Inner Affairs website. The aim is to facilitate access to official information, thereby ensuring transparency.
DIGEFE is responsible for supervising companies involved in private security, including training institutions.
Authorization through ApiaTrámites involves more rigorous and systematic control, integrating regulatory criteria and centralized supporting documentation.
The authorization of these centers is regulated by current legislation governing private security activities in Uruguay, particularly with regard to staff training.
The digitized procedure facilitates compliance with regulatory requirements and improves institutional monitoring mechanisms.
